What this page is
These terms cover every Trueline service, whether you run a trade or contracting business, a salon or clinic, or a law firm, accounting practice or advisory firm.
Our guarantee
Every monthly service comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Here's exactly how it works:
- If you're not happy, email or call us within 30 days of your first invoice and first payment and we refund your entire first invoice, no questions asked. Where the service has a setup fee, that refund is the setup fee plus your first month.
- Contractor Websites has no setup fee, so the refund is your first month, which is your first invoice.
- The 30 days are calendar days, and the clock ends at the end of day (Eastern Time) on day 30.
- Refunds go back to the way you paid.
That's it. No hoops, no retention call, no fine print.
What you pay
You pay month to month, in advance. Your plan renews each month until you cancel. All prices are flat: no per-minute charges and no overage bills. Applicable taxes (such as HST) are added to your invoice. Card processing fees on Text-to-Pay, and your own carrier's message and data rates, are separate. If a payment fails, we'll tell you and give you 14 days to fix it before we pause your service.
| Service | Monthly | Setup or one-time fee |
|---|---|---|
| AI Receptionist (trades and contractors) | $399 | $499 |
| AI Receptionist (salons and clinics) | $249 | $299 |
| Missed-Call Text-Back (per location) | $149 | $199 |
| Google Reviews — Requests (per location) | $79 | $99 |
| Google Reviews — Requests + Replies (per location) | $99 | $99 |
| Quote Follow-Up Win-Back (per location) | $149 | $199 |
| Quote Follow-Up + Google Reviews (Requests + Replies, per location) | $179 | $199 |
| Website Chat-to-Text (per location) | $79 | $99 |
| Text-to-Pay (per location) | $49 | $99 |
| Contractor Websites | $499 | No setup fee |
| AI Support Agent | $500 | $2,000 build fee, credited in full against months 1–4 |
| AI Liability Assessment | — | $1,000 one-time, credited in full toward a retainer if you continue within 90 days |
| Fractional AI Officer | $10,000–25,000 | Set in your engagement agreement |
AI Support Agent: within 30 days of your first invoice and first payment, our guarantee refunds the $2,000 build fee plus your first month in full. After 30 days, if you cancel before month 4, the part of the build fee not yet credited is not refunded.
Taxes are extra (see above).
Retainers are month to month. Cancel anytime. No notice period, no cancellation fee. If we ever change prices, we'll tell you at least 30 days before the new price kicks in, and you're free to cancel before then (see below).
Cancelling
You can cancel anytime. No contracts, no notice period, no cancellation fees. For the AI Support Agent, see the build-fee note under What you pay.
To cancel, just call or email us and say so. Service runs to the end of the month you've already paid for, then stops. We don't make you click through five screens or sit on a retention call. One message is enough.
Calls, texts, and AI
A few plain facts about how our services work:
- Our AI may answer your calls. When someone calls you, they may be talking to our AI receptionist, not a person. We tell callers when that's happening.
- Calls may be recorded. If recording is on, our AI tells callers at the start of the call. Recordings and transcripts are used only to run your service. Some places require every person on a call to agree to recording; you're responsible for meeting the rules where you and your callers are. See our Privacy Policy at truelineit.com/privacy for how we handle personal information.
- Missed-call texts go out about 2 minutes after a missed call. That timing is how the service is designed to work. It's our aim, not a promise that every single text lands within that window. If you reply STOP to our texts, we stop — always.
- Texts and emails follow Canada's anti-spam law. We only send messages to people who have agreed to hear from you or have an existing business relationship with you. Every text says it's from your business and tells people how to stop: reply STOP. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We act on STOP or unsubscribe, and always within 10 business days.
- You need the right to contact your customers. For anything where we text or call your customers for you (reviews, reminders, follow-ups), it's your job to make sure you have their consent. If you give us a bad list, that's on you. We send in good faith for you.
- Text and call costs are your carrier's. Your phone plan's normal message and data rates apply.
- AI can be wrong. Our AI answers from your materials and instructions. For anything sensitive, like legal, medical or money questions, we recommend a human review. We'll do our best, but we can't promise the AI is always right.
Your stuff stays yours
This one is simple and we mean it:
- Your data is yours. Your call logs, messages, customer lists, and content belong to you. You can have it all back any time. Just ask.
- We don't sell your data. Not to anyone, not ever.
- We don't use your data to train public AI models. We use outside service providers only to run your service.
- You keep your reviews and your content. Reviews we help you collect are yours. If you leave, your content goes with you.
- When you cancel. Ask within 30 days and we'll send you a copy of your data. After 30 days, we delete it, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Phone numbers. Your existing business number stays yours. If we gave you a new number and you want to keep it, ask us before you cancel. Where your carrier and our phone provider allow it, we'll help you port it out while your account is in good standing.
Product-by-product notes
AI Receptionist (trades and contractors, and salons and clinics). "Unlimited calls" means normal business use for one business location. If usage is far above normal, we'll call you to talk about a plan that fits. We never cut off or slow down your service without warning, and any plan change needs your agreement. Callers are told they may be speaking with an AI assistant.
Missed-Call Text-Back. Texts go out about 2 minutes after a missed call by design. Reply STOP stops them. It works per location. Each location is a separate subscription.
Google Reviews (Requests, and Requests + Replies). We ask your customers for reviews. We never write fake reviews, buy reviews, or post reviews ourselves. Your customers must have agreed to be texted (see the consent rule above).
Quote Follow-Up Win-Back. We follow up on your past quotes. Same consent rule: your customer list needs to be one you're allowed to contact.
Website Chat-to-Text. Website chats turn into texts to your team. Messages belong to you and are kept only to run the service.
Text-to-Pay. Payments are handled by a payment processor. We never see or store your customers' full card numbers. Card processing fees are extra, as stated on the Text-to-Pay page.
AI Governance (for law firms, accountants and advisors). Retainers are month to month. You can cancel anytime, with no notice period and no cancellation fee. Fractional AI Officer is $10,000–25,000/mo. See Fractional AI Officer. The engagement agreement sets the scope, and the monthly fee within the published range, for Fractional AI Officer and other scoped work only.
If something breaks
We run our services with reasonable care, and we'll fix our mistakes as fast as we can. But:
- Our services are provided as-is. We can't promise they'll be perfect or never go down.
- If something goes wrong on our side, the most we can be liable for is what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We can't be liable for indirect losses (lost profits, lost business). We're a small business, same as you.
- This doesn't limit anything the law won't let us limit.
The legal basics
- Who can buy: our services are for businesses in Canada and the United States, not for personal or household use.
- Use it legally. Don't use our services for anything illegal, and don't send spam. If you do, we can stop your service.
- Changes to these terms. We'll post any changes here and email you 30 days before they take effect, so you can cancel first if you don't like them. Urgent legal or safety fixes can take effect sooner.
- Law and disputes. These terms follow the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. If we disagree, we'll try to sort it out by talking first. If we can't, the courts of that province will decide.
- Privacy. See our Privacy Policy at truelineit.com/privacy.
Texts and emails we send you
We only send you texts or emails about our services if you've agreed to get them or contacted us first, as Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) allows. Every message says it's from Trueline IT. To stop texts, reply STOP. To stop emails, click unsubscribe. We act on it, and always within 10 business days. Our mailing address is 1250 Brant Street, Suite 400, Burlington, ON L7P 1X8.
